Sources of Funding
In British Columbia, the basic medical services plan does not cover the cost of private speech and language services. Clients are encouraged to find out whether they have service coverage through the following sources:
- private health insurance
- extended health benefits
- employer-sponsored programs (e.g. Wellness Program)
- employment training programs
- immigration/government agencies
- international organizations
Most employers recognize the benefit of effective communication skills in the workplace and may help valued employees cover some or all of the expenses associated with accent modification and communication training.
Employees or their supervisor/HR representative may download the Lingo-Ease Corporate Brochure (PDF) and contact us directly for additional information.
